A single room is usually a day, two if there is a lot of trim or repair. A whole-house interior repaint on an average west-metro home runs about a week, working room by room so you are never out of the whole house at once.
Often, yes. The rule is that the surface and the air stay above 50°F for a couple of days, and some exterior products go lower. Early October usually works. By late October we are watching the forecast day by day and will tell you honestly if it should wait for spring.
If the boxes are solid and you like the layout, painting is the better answer and a fraction of the cost. If the boxes are particleboard and swelling, we will tell you to replace.
